Admissions officers from Brandeis University, Bucknell University, George Washington University, Pepperdine University, and Tufts University held an information session in Shanghai on September 20, 2009. Local alumni from the schools joined the admissions officers in the Shanghai Public Library to answer questions from students and parents about their respective schools. Representatives gave presentations about their schools and at the end all came together to discuss financial aid issues and to answer students’ and parents’ questions.

The participating schools are all research universities committed to providing the best undergraduate education to their students. Brandeis University and Tufts University are located near Boston, Massachusetts, and George Washington University is in Washington, D.C. Bucknell University is in western Pennsylvania while Pepperdine is located in southern California near Los Angeles.
